Privacy and Personal Data Policy

This privacy and personal data policy is summarized to better inform you as a customer about which personal data dB-Shield® processes and how we process them – personal data is understood as all data that can be linked to an individual.

dB-Shield® respects all requests for confidentiality of personal information submitted online and is aware of the need for appropriate protection and responsible handling of all personal information we receive. If the following privacy policy cannot be accepted, dB-Shield® reserves the right to reject orders and other inquiries, as a lack of acceptance may mean that dB-Shield® cannot service the relationship as otherwise required by applicable law.

Personal Data

Personal data covers all data that can be used to identify individuals, including but not limited to first, middle, and last name, age, gender, position, private address or other physical address, email address, or other contact information, whether they relate to the individual's private residence or workplace.

Likewise, personal data also includes data such as behavior, purchase history, financial information, etc., which are all used to maintain the customer and supplier relationship between customers and dB-Shield®.

  • Trusted third parties necessary for fulfilling agreements on delivery, payment, and service including debt collection and legal instances

How Long Are Your Personal Data Stored?

In the case of an active customer relationship, your data is stored for as long as necessary to service you. If the customer relationship is terminated, your data is stored for up to two years, depending on the nature of the data.

You can request access to or deletion of your data at any time. According to other legislation (the Bookkeeping and Anti-Money Laundering Act), all transactional data, including contact and company information, is retained for five years.

Data Breach

We take security breaches and data leaks very seriously. In case of suspected data leakage from dB-Shield® internal servers or external partners, a series of initiatives are implemented to best protect our customers and users.

This includes assessing the potential extent of the damage, notifying potentially affected customers and users, notifying the Data Protection Agency, and taking actions to try to contain the extent of the damage.

If we suspect a data leak from dB-Shield® or its external partners, all involved parties, including users, will be informed within 72 hours. If you suspect that your data has been leaked from dB-Shield®, please contact us at any time.

Access to Information

You can always change your account information and areas of interest, including specifying whether you want us to contact you in connection with offers on goods or services or unsubscribe from newsletters.
